Kor Crew volunteer participation terms
The Kor Crew is a single volunteer program: you start Kor in the neighborhood where you hang out. When you apply to and take part in the Kor Crew, you accept these terms. An application cannot be sent from the form (in the app, Settings > “Work with Kor”; on the website, the “Join the Kor Crew” page on getkor.app) without accepting them. Your use of Kor is also governed by the Terms of Service.
1. Volunteering
- Taking part in the Kor Crew is entirely voluntary: you do it of your own free will and can stop at any time.
- The Kor Crew does not create an employment, service, internship, agency, representation, dealership, partnership or similar relationship between you and Kor.
- Unless separately agreed in writing, no salary, bonus, commission, equity, expense reimbursement or other compensation is paid or promised for any Kor Crew activity. Kor may occasionally give promotional items or in-app perks; these are discretionary gestures, not compensation, and create no entitlement.
- There are no working hours, targets or mandatory tasks; you decide when and how much to contribute.
2. No claims over Kor
- Applying, being accepted or being part of the Kor Crew gives you no right, share or claim over Kor's name, brand, logo, app, software, website, data, users, business ideas or other intellectual and industrial property, or over the shares, partnership, revenue, profit or increase in value of the person or company that operates Kor. You agree not to assert any right or claim over these.
- You may not use titles such as “founder”, “partner”, “employee”, “representative” or “official”; you may only use the “Kor Crew” name as Kor tells you.
3. Ideas, feedback and content
- Kor may use, develop or not use the suggestions, ideas and feedback you share without paying you or asking further permission; no expectation of confidentiality or compensation arises from them.
- For photos, videos, text and designs you make for Kor as part of the Kor Crew and give to Kor, you allow Kor to use, copy, edit and publish them worldwide, free of charge and without time limit, to promote Kor. You confirm that this content does not infringe anyone else's rights (including having the consent of the people shown). What you post on your own personal accounts stays yours.
4. No acting on Kor's behalf
- You may not sign contracts, make commitments, take on debts, accept payments or spend money on Kor's behalf, and you may not make agreements on Kor's behalf with venues, universities, student clubs or anyone else.
- You use Kor's name and logo only with materials Kor gives you and in the way Kor allows; you may not sell advertising, sponsorship or tickets on Kor's behalf.
- Meet-ups and events you organize yourself are your responsibility; Kor is not their organizer.
5. Conduct
- You follow the Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines, the law and the rules of the places you are in (for example, no unauthorized posters).
- You do not pressure anyone to join Kor or light a kor, offer anyone money, gifts or rewards, or make misleading promises; you do not create fake accounts or light kors for someone else.
- You do not invite anyone under 18 to Kor.
- If you have received promotional items, in-app benefits or any other benefit from Kor, you clearly disclose this at the start of any social media post promoting Kor (for example “#ad” or “#collab”, or “#reklam” / “#işbirliği” in Turkish), in line with the Turkish Advertising Board's guidelines for social media influencers; you do not make untrue or misleading statements about Kor's number of users, features, price or rewards.
- You do not leave venue contributions at Kor Nokta partner venues. At other venues you only leave contributions where you really lit a kor and based on your own experience; Kor does not tell you to leave a contribution at any particular venue.
6. Confidentiality
You do not share non-public information you learn as part of the Kor Crew (plans, numbers, unannounced features, other members' personal information) without Kor's written permission. This obligation continues after your participation ends.
7. Selection and ending
- Applying does not mean you will be accepted. Kor reviews applications at its own discretion and does not have to give reasons.
- You and Kor can each end your participation at any time, without giving reasons and without any obligation to pay compensation. When it ends, you stop using the “Kor Crew” name and any materials Kor gave you.
8. Age
Only people aged 18 or over can apply to the Kor Crew.
9. Personal data
The personal data in your application is handled as described in the Kor Crew Application Notice. The moment you accept these terms is recorded with your application.
10. Other
Anything not covered here is governed by the Terms of Service. If one provision is found invalid, the others remain in effect. Your rights under mandatory law are not affected.
11. Updates
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version of these terms is always available in the app and on getkor.app. If the terms expand in a way that is less favourable to you, we will ask you to consent to the new scope separately to continue taking part; if you do not, your participation ends with no obligation on your part.
