1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“Kor”, “we”), which operates the Kor app and getkor.app. By creating an account and ticking the consent box you confirm that you have read and accept these terms, the Community Guidelines, the Subscription Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Kor.
2. Age requirement
Kor is only for people aged 18 and over. We ask for your age at sign-up and people under 18 cannot create an account. Misrepresenting your age will lead to your account being closed.
3. The service
Kor is a map of what is alive in the city tonight: you can light a kor at the venue you are at, write to people who said they are “open to something new”, share evening plans with friends, see events and tap “Going”, add venues, and share venue marks and photos. We may change, add or remove features over time. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
4. Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your profile accurate and for only using photos that are yours. You may not let anyone else use your account or transfer it. Kor does not verify users' identity with official documents and does not run background checks on anyone.
5. Rules
The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In short, the following are not allowed: harassment, threats, hate speech, unwanted sexual content, spam and commercial promotion, exposing others without their consent (including screenshots), fake accounts, lighting a kor where you are not or spoofing your location, adding fake venues and knowingly marking venues incorrectly. If other people appear in a venue photo, getting their consent is your responsibility.
6. Your content
You are responsible for the photos, text, messages, venue marks and venue details you add (“content”) and you confirm that you have the rights needed to share them. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable license to use, store, reformat and show this content to other users in order to provide, display and improve the service; the license ends when the content is deleted. The name, type and location of a venue you added may remain on the map even if you delete your account. We may remove content that breaks the rules without notice.
7. Third-party information and links
Event details and images (from sources such as Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, Bandsintown, Fever, etkinlik.io, Bugece and Xceed) and venue data (Overture Maps Foundation, OpenStreetMap) come from third parties. We do not guarantee that they are accurate or current or that an event will take place. Buying tickets and attending events is solely between you and the seller or organizer. Kor Nokta pins labeled “SPONSORED” on the map are paid promotions by venues.
8. Safety and disclaimer (please read carefully)
8.1. You decide whether to interact with or meet another user. No profile you see in the app has gone through a background check.
8.2. Meeting in person is at users' own initiative and responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, Kor is not responsible for harm, injury, fraud or crime arising from meetings or interactions between users.
8.3. Our advice: stay in busy, public places; tell someone you trust where you are going; trust your instincts and leave as soon as something feels wrong; do not share your home address or bank details.
8.4. Use Report / Block in the app for suspicious or disturbing behavior. In an emergency, call local emergency services first (911 in the US, 112 in Türkiye).
9. Premium
Kor's core features are free. The optional Premium subscription is bought through the App Store or Google Play, renews automatically unless cancelled and is governed by the Subscription Terms. Cancellations and refunds follow the rules of the store you bought from.
10. Intellectual property
The Kor name, logo, design and software belong to Kor. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy or reverse-engineer the app, scrape data from it with automated tools, or use it in a way that disrupts the service. Map and venue data licenses: Data Licenses.
11. Termination
You can delete your account from the app at any time (Account and Data Deletion). If you break these terms or the Community Guidelines, act unlawfully or put other users at risk, we may suspend or close your account and remove your content. Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription; cancel it separately in your store settings.
12. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kor is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data, and Kor's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid Kor in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you; your non-waivable consumer rights are not affected.
13. App Store and Google Play
These terms are between you and Kor, not Apple or Google; Kor, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support or warranties; if the app fails to conform to a warranty you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price, if any. Product claims, intellectual property claims and legal compliance requests are directed to Kor, not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you. You may not use the app if you are located in a country subject to a US embargo or are on a US government list of prohibited parties.
14. Governing law and disputes
For users in Türkiye, these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye and consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts have jurisdiction. For users in the United States and other countries, the governing law and venue are: [PENDING LAWYER REVIEW], without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of the place where you live. These terms contain no arbitration agreement and no class action waiver. If you have a dispute, please email support@getkor.app first; we can resolve most issues that way.
15. Changes
We may update these terms; each version starts with its date and a summary of changes, and we will notify you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use Kor after a change means you accept the updated terms.
16. General
If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
