Kor Premium Subscription Terms
What changed in this version
- First version as a separate document; replaces section 7 of the previous Terms.
- Free limits and Premium benefits now reflect the current values in the app.
- Added Premium time earned through invites and the effect of account deletion on a subscription.
These terms are part of the Terms of Service.
1. Free use and Premium
Kor is free to use and Premium is optional. Everyone can light unlimited kors. On a free account:
- Kors marked “open to something new”: 3 per day
- Writing to open kors: 10 per day
- Extending a kor: once per kor
- Gallery photos shown to others: up to 3
With Premium, the “open to something new” marker, writing to open kors and extending kors are unlimited (a kor can burn for at most 6 hours in total), your kor looks different on the map and appears at the top of the venue list, and up to 9 gallery photos are shown. Daily limits currently reset at midnight Turkey time (UTC+3), which is 5 PM US Eastern during daylight saving time.
2. Purchase and price
Premium is bought in the app through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play. The available periods (for example weekly, monthly or yearly) and prices, including taxes, are as shown by the store on the purchase screen. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase. No free trial is currently offered; if one is offered, its terms will be shown on the purchase screen.
3. Auto-renewal
Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. We may send an in-app reminder 3 days before the period ends. Price changes follow the store's rules, and your consent is requested where required.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings (in the app: Premium > “Manage or cancel subscription”). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
5. Refunds
Because purchases are made with Apple or Google, refund requests go directly to them under their rules (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: your order history in Google Play). Kor does not receive the payment directly and cannot issue refunds itself. This does not affect any rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
6. Premium time earned for free
When someone who joined with your invite code lights their first kor, you get 30 days of Premium; if you already have Premium time, it is added to your current end date. We may also give time as a promotion or gift. This time is free, does not renew automatically and cannot be exchanged for money.
7. Restoring purchases
If you change phones, use “Restore purchases” on the Premium screen to reconnect your subscription with the same store account.
8. Changes
We may reasonably change the free limits and Premium benefits; the benefits of a paid period are kept until that period ends. We will notify you in the app about significant changes.
