Account and data deletion
What changed in this version
- First English version.
- Added Going records, chat read state, support messages and Kor Nokta interactions to the deleted data.
- Corrected the statement about reports: reports involving you are deleted with your account.
- What remains after deletion is now listed exactly as the app works.
You can delete your Kor account and the data linked to it at any time, without waiting for approval. This cannot be undone.
Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open Kor
- Go to the Profile tab
- Open Settings
- Tap Delete account in the “Safety and legal” section
- Read the warning and confirm
Deletion happens immediately; there is no waiting period.
If you can't access the app
Email support@getkor.app from the email address on your account with the subject “Account deletion”. After verifying your identity we complete the request within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your profile: first and last name, username, age, gender, bio
- Your profile and gallery photos (including the files in Firebase Storage)
- Kors you lit and their location data, kor card view records
- Messages you sent to kors, your chats, messages and chat read state
- Your notification history and push token
- Your invite code, friendships, friend groups and evening plans
- Your Going records and the venues you follow
- Your venue marks and venue photos (including the files)
- Your badges, reports and blocks, support messages
- Your Kor Nokta view and tap records
- Your home screen widget key and subscription status
What remains after deletion
- Venues you added: stay on the map; the link to you is removed.
- Application forms: the link to you is removed; the application itself is deleted automatically after its 1-year period, or earlier if you ask.
- Sign-in record: a session record in Firebase Authentication consisting only of a random user ID, and a content-free timestamp in Firestore, may remain; they contain no name, email or photo.
- Purchase records: kept by Apple/Google and RevenueCat for as long as store rules and tax law require.
- Waitlist: if you joined the waitlist on our website, that address is separate from your account; email support@getkor.app to have it deleted.
- Legal obligations: if there is a valid request from an authority or an ongoing investigation, we may keep the necessary records for the legally required period.
Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel Premium. Cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play account settings, otherwise it will keep renewing.
